Roseberry Topping

Designed by one of our members, you may recognise the profile of Roseberry Topping (shown left), situated on the edge of the North York Moors national park it can be seen for miles and has long been a symbol of our area. Due to its distinctive half-cone shape, caused by a landslide in 1914, Roseberry Topping has been nicknamed the English Matterhorn. Loved by many walkers, it is often considered the first real goal for those starting out at recreational walking. Many ramblers groups arrange walks to the summit throughout the year including evening and night walks. Check out our events programme to see if we have one soon.
